  3. Post Pandemic Procedures: From Boardrooms to Baseball

No matter the industry, organizations are having to create new guidelines and procedures for everything from staff testing to facility cleaning protocols. In advance of opening day, Major League Baseball released a comprehensive operations manual that has been distributed to the 30 Major League Clubs. It includes health and safety procedures, new on field playing rules and a league-wide code of conduct prohibiting certain high-risk activities outside the ballpark.

All across America, businesses of all types are scrambling to put these new types of procedures in place to keep staff, customers and the general public safe. One big consideration, as addressed here by the CDC, is safely reopening buildings after prolonged shutdowns. A very common hazard for returning occupants is the potential of mold growth. Mold can easily show up on ceiling tiles, wallpaper, insulation, drywall, carpet, and fabric. Essentially any place where moisture can be found. For those buildings where mold is detected, a remediation process may be necessary before it is safe for employees to return to work. SiShield antimicrobial technology is widely used in the remediation industry to ensure once mold has been properly removed, it does not regrow.

A major trend in commercial cleaning is to add an antimicrobial element to new and existing protocols. Antimicrobial technology helps to decrease cleaning time and protect surfaces from contamination between cleanings. With the first EPA-registered water-soluble antimicrobial that works on a wide variety of surfaces, you can protect against potential health hazards, unwanted odors and unsightly mold, mildew and bacteria in hospitals, office buildings, schools, transportation hubs and more. Applied regularly, SiShield’s technology increases both the safety and cleanliness of these environments. As we all work to get some normalcy activities back, SiShield is here to help give business owners peace of mind that their places of business are safe.
