SiShield’s One-Step Disinfectants: SiS 200D and SiS 200D RTU

SiShield’s president and founder, Jacques Elfersy, breaks down SiS 200D and SiS 200D RTU.

What gave you the idea for SiS 200D and SiS 200D RTU?

Our surface protectant products do a great job at protecting against unwanted growth of bacteria and microorganisms, but they don’t kill what might be already present on the surface. The idea behind SiS 200D is simple: to provide disinfection and surface protection in one time-saving step. At the time I created SiS 200D, there was nothing else like it on the market. I hold a patent on the technology.

What is the difference between SiShield’s Antimicrobial Surface Protectants and the Disinfectant products?

SiShield’s antimicrobial surface protectants are very effective against inhibiting the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, algae and yeasts. They create a durable microbiostatic coating on the surface. They should be applied to a clean surface as they do not kill existing bacteria or viruses.

The patented disinfectant is a disinfectant and microbiostatic agent combination. It is a cleaner, fungicide, virucide, and deodorizer all in one that continues to inhibit the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, algae and yeasts.

What is special about SiS 200D verse traditional disinfectants?

Three key things: It is safe, effective and durable!

Most disinfectants do one thing well: kill germs. But five minutes after being applied, the surface can be re-contaminated and the process starts all over again. SiS 200D goes a step further by providing durable surface protection against odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. It is very safe, effective and can be applied in a lot of different settings like hospitals, schools, public buildings, planes, trains, manufacturing facilities and more. Another differentiator is that SiS 200D can be used on both hard, non-porous and soft, porous surfaces. This also makes it more versatile than traditional disinfectants.

The Toxicity Level for SiS 200D RTU was just lowered to a Category IV, what is the significance of this?

The product can now be used without having to worry about your health or the safety of the environment. It is much less harmful than a lot of other products on the market. Having a product with no precautionary statements speaks for itself. Of course, all cleaning agents must be used according to label directions.

What is your number one piece of advice for distributors who are marketing this product to end clients?

To make sure to highlight three things: the efficacy, the safety profile and the durability of the product. The durable surface protection is a key differentiating factor that other commodity disinfectants on the market are lacking. The future of the cleaning industry is going towards products with more benefits and less the safety risk.
